Working out who to follow on Twitter if you’re interested in finance isn’t a huge problem. There are probably more lists of the top finance people to follow on Twitter than there are people tweeting about finance on the micro-blogging site. Less clear, is who to follow on Twitter if you want a job in finance
Fret no more. In no special order, we bring you the non-definitive list of banking and finance careers-focused accounts to follow on the micro-blogging site. We’ve omitted all journalists who don’t cover careers specifically. Naturally, some of our own accounts are listed first of all.
1. @paultclarke
Who? Paul is the eFinancialCareers news editor, working out of London. He tweets a lot of our own articles, and will occasionally make comments in relation to football.
2. @MadameButcher
The eFinancialCareers editor at large. Tweeting prolifically about the articles on eFinancialCareers, working in finance, and sitting on trains.
3. @BeecherTuttle
Our U.S. editor. Dry. Intermittent. Worth watching out for.

Simon covers Asia for us, among other things, and Amanda is our Asian editor.

Director of global campus recruiting at Royal Bank of Canada.

Deutsche Bank’s ‘official’ careers channel.

JPMorgan’s official Twitter account with some careers information thrown in.
8. @CitiRecruiterUS
The official recruitment channel for Citi’s Insitutional Client Group.
9. @StanChart
The official Twitter account of Standard Chartered, with some recruiting information mixed in.
10. @CreditSuisse
The official Twitter account of Credit Suisse. Mostly market commentary, with the occasional comment about careers.
11. @UBScareers
UBS’s official careers account. Worth watching but may be of limited use. Last tweet was October 2012, when the bank announced 10,000 job cuts.
12. @OptionsGroup
Global financial services search firm. Tweets a lot about people moves in the banking sector.
13. @AdviceNY
New York-based recruitment firm tweeting and retweeting about working in the finance sector.
14. @WSJCareers
The Wall Street Journal’s careers account. Careers advice in general, not finance-specific but still relevant.
15. @HarvardBiz
Handy careers advice and management tips from the Harvard Business Review’s blog section.
16. @DeloitteUK_FS
Deloitte UK’s financial services channel. Some jobs, some insights. A mixture.
17.=@BankersUmbrella and EpicureanDeal
Bankers Umbrella is a personable private banker who tweets some careers advice, some wry observations. Epicurean Dealmaker is a curmudgeonly M&A banker who tweets some careers banking advice, a lot of deep thoughts (some misanthropic), some snippets of poetry.

Busy tweeting about interviews and interview technique. Not banking specific, still good.
19. @MulsannePartner
UK financial services headhunting firm. Non-prolific tweeter. Only joined Twitter in September, but one tweet has been to advertise jobs internally and another has been to announce the appearance of some research into the hiring market.
20. @sheffhaw
Twitter account of global financial services headhunting firm Sheffield Haworth. Mostly tweets to say who it’s hired. Sometimes tweets market intelligence reports. Not very prolific.

Undercover Recruiter. Frantic tweeter of all things related to recruitment consultants and their handling. Not finance specific

Twitter account for Joris Luyendijk, the anthropologist and journalist who’s been interviewing bankers for the Guardian. Joris’s blog has now finished, but it’s worth watching out for what he does next.

The UK careers feed for Fidelity, the fund management firm.

All about careers at EY in the Americas.
